Scope of Job:
We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley's student body as a Part-Time Lecturer of Health and Biomedical Sciences beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year. Part-time lecturers are paid per course taught commensurate with experience and/or qualifications and serve the needs of the program, department, and college.
Ability to teach Health Services and Medical Terminology coursework in the on-line setting, availability for UTRGV required training for on-line teaching and the ability to hold on-line office hours and provide student support.

Minimum Qualifications:
A master's or doctoral degree in a health profession, public health, health science, healthcare informatics, or healthcare administration. A master's degree in another health field/profession appropriate for course/subject matter may be considered. Applicants with a master's degree must have 3 years' work experience or 1 peer-reviewed, scholarly publication in the field.
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications:
Registered Dietician (RD) to teach nutrition courses, Health Informatics Certification (RHIT, RHIA, CHDA, PMP or other informatics certification) to teach health informatics courses.
