Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati Clermont College invites applications for Adjunct Instructors to teach courses in our Bachelor of Health Informatics program. We are seeking qualified professionals with academic preparation and applied experience in health informatics who are committed to high-quality, student-centered teaching.
Essential Functions
- Teach undergraduate courses in health informatics and related areas (online and/or in-person, depending on program needs)
- Facilitate engaging, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning experiences
- Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Maintain regular communication with students and program leadership
- Adhere to university, college, and departmental policies and accreditation expectations
Minimum Requirements
- Professional experience in health informatics or a closely related field
- Master’s degree in Health Informatics (MHI) or active enrollment in an MHI or a closely related informatics graduate program
- Prior teaching experience in higher education, professional education, or a comparable instructional setting
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Completed Master’s degree in Health Informatics or a related informatics discipline
- Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
- Familiarity with healthcare information systems, data analytics, privacy and security, or clinical/administrative informatics
- Experience working with adult or nontraditional learners
