Part Time Lecturer in Literatures and Cultural Studies/College of Liberal Arts
The Department of Literatures and Cultural Studies at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) occasionally has the need to hire Part-Time Lecturers to teach courses across the department's different programs. Responsibilities include delivering quality instruction within the program. Ability to teach on-line courses is a plus. The area of specialization is open. MA is required by the start date. Assignment of teaching can be made to the Edinburg or Brownsville campus depending on the needs of the Department. This position may include Dual Enrollment instruction at area collegiate high schools in partnership with UTRGV dual enrollment initiatives. The successful applicant may be assigned core curriculum courses across the department's programs, including ENGL, MASC, GWSP, and FILM; courses may include ENGL 2341 (Introduction to Literature), ENGL 2321 (Introduction to British Literature), ENGL 2326 (Introduction to American Literature), ENGL 1305 (Writing Cultural Studies), MASC 2301 (Introduction to Mexican American Studies), GWSP 1301 (Introduction to Gender Studies), GWSP 2301 (Concepts in Gender and Sexuality), and FILM 2312 (History of Film). Teaching may be assigned in any modality, at any UTRGV campus.
