Part-Time Researcher – Causal Inference in Practice
The Department of Applied Statistics, Social Sciences, and Humanities at NYU Steinhardt is seeking a part-time researcher to support a study examining how causal inference tools are used in practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and analyzing data that has already been collected for the study.
- Assisting with coordination of the IRB process.
- Contributing to writing and preparing study results for dissemination.
- Meeting weekly with the faculty supervisor to review progress and plan next steps.
Pay Statement: In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the salary range for this position is $30 - $40 per hour. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Qualifications:
- Strong background in data analysis and familiarity with causal inference methods.
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Stata, or similar).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Prior research experience and familiarity with IRB processes preferred.
This is a part-time position aligned with the Part-Time Researcher policy.
