Part-time Welding Technology Professor - Continuous Pool

Clark College is currently seeking to fill part-time Welding Technology Professor whose primary duties will include lecture and laboratory instruction in automatic and semi-automatic weld processes.
This part-time position is an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected year-round. Applicants must be available to teach the daytime, evening or weekend hours. Positions will be filled as program needs arise.

General Faculty Responsibilities:
- Instruct classes utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.

Position Specific Responsibilities:
- Instruct classes in FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW welding, safety, oxy/fuel, plasma cutting, and safe equipment use.
- Instruct classes on Pressbrake operation and theories, pipe rolling, and tube bending.
Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:
- Five (5) years of experience working within the welding/fabrication industry to include any accredited training in welding/fabrication, or related field.
- Two (2) years of teaching and/or training experience in a learning environment.
- Two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Office suite; Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Supervisory experience of industrial workers or faculty; to include employee/faculty hiring, evaluations and/or training.
- Experience in all processes with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand and move around shop for extensive time periods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
- Ability to work well as a member of a team.
- Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
