Posted Job Title Penn Medicine Clinician Job Profile Title Penn Medicine Clinician Job Description Summary Provides health care services on a full-time or part-time basis in an owned or affiliated health care entity of Penn Medicine or The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Provides inpatient hospital services as required and fulfills all medico-administrative duties associated with membership on each hospital medical staff of which clinician is a member. May participate in a minimum of 50 hours per year of active and high quality teaching or equivalent service. Performs prompt, courteous and competent professional services in accordance with generally accepted professional standards for such services and with the standards established from time to time. Maintains license to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania or location of affiliates, if applicable. The Pediatric Urgent Care Physician will work in a CHOP Urgent Care location(s) to evaluate, treat and manage patients from birth to age 21. The physician is expected to document the medical findings in an electronic medical record (Epic), provide support to patients, families and colleagues, collaborate with other Physicians, nurses, ancillary department staff and Hospital administration. This position will require working Evenings, Weekends and Holidays as needed. The physicians is expected to maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, legal, regulatory, clinical and organizational standards and requirements including (but not limited to): HIPPA, OSHA, Joint Commission, DOH. Qualifications: Doctorate, Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Medical License, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania DEA License, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Medical Board Certification-Pediatrics, The American Board of Pediatrics Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Education 0-1 year of work experience of related experience in a specified medical field Responsibilities:Evaluate, treat and manage pediatric patients in an Urgent Care setting, including documenting medical findings, treatment plans and follow-up care - 80%Attend meetings and participate/lead lectures, simulations and other required training and education - 10%Teach medical students, residents, and fellows - 5%Other duties as assigned - 5% Direct Clinical Activities including procedures such as suturing, FB removal and simple incision and drainage. Evaluate, Treat and Manage patients in a Pediatric Urgent Care Setting. Continually review current pediatric standards of care and work with leadership team to implement new processes as needed. Respond to clinical alerts and updates Timely completion of electronic medical record and related correspondence Participate in departmental CME and simulation activities. Working Conditions: Office, Library Computer Room; Requires extensive safety training; Requires protective devices Physical Effort Occasional lifting 24-50 lb.; Typically standing or walking; Intermittently sitting/standing/stooping; Using tools requiring high density; Typically bending, crouching, Stooping Job Location - City, State King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania Department / School Perelman School of Medicine Pay Range $20,000.00 - $280,000.00 Annual Rate Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
