The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking Penn Medicine Clinicians to serve as inpatient (hospitalist) physicians. Applicants must have a M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care.
Penn Medicine Clinicians are staff physicians with academic appointments commensurate with experience. The focus of this position is clinical excellence and the successful candidate will demonstrate a deep commitment to a clinically focused career. Penn Medicine Clinicians are expected to develop into clinical leaders at their practice sites with abundant opportunities to develop clinical expertise with a variety of specific conditions and populations. In addition, 5% of clinical effort is allocated to educational and academic work at Penn Medicine hospitals. Practice sites are the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and Good Shepherd Penn Partners Specialty Hospital/Penn Medicine Rehabilitation. In addition to general medicine acute care hospital blocks, clinical work may include long-term acute care (LTACH) settings, consults/surgical co-management, and limited evening and night shifts. Nocturnist and weekendist positions may also be available.

M.D degree and 0 to 1 year of experience required. Completion of a categorical internal medicine residency, license to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania, and DEA licensure required. Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine also required.
Qualifications: M.D. License to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania, DEA Licensure. 0-1 year of work experience of related experience required. Completion of a categorical internal medicine or equivalent residency, license to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania, and DEA licensure required. Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine or family medicine is also required.

Physical Effort: Occasional lifting 24-50 lb.; Typically standing or walking; Intermittently sitting/standing/stooping; Using tools requiring high density; Typically bending, crouching, Stooping.
