Position Overview
- Lead clinical consultation for pediatric and adolescent patients in outpatient settings
- Collaborate with developmental behavioral pediatricians, psychologists, nurses, and social work staff
- Open-rank, fixed-term faculty position within the School of Medicine
- Focus on youth with or at-risk for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD)
Responsibilities
- Provide psychological services for youth with ASD/IDD
- Conduct assessments, consultation, and (where applicable) intervention services
- Collaborate in an interdisciplinary healthcare setting, ideally in an academic/medical environment
- Participate in education and training for graduate students, university programs, and community initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD/PsyD) in an applied area of psychology
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina
- Broad clinical experience and expertise in assessment and consultation for youth with ASD/IDD
Preferred Qualifications
- ≥2 years of experience, including post-doctoral fellowship in intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Experience with intervention services
- Experience with LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) or UCEDD (University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities) programs
- Prior teaching and supervision of graduate students
Special Requirements
- Not applicable for campus security authority responsibilities
- Ability to perform duties in interdisciplinary clinical and academic environment
