Position Overview

  • Lead clinical consultation for pediatric and adolescent patients in outpatient settings
  • Collaborate with developmental behavioral pediatricians, psychologists, nurses, and social work staff
  • Open-rank, fixed-term faculty position within the School of Medicine
  • Focus on youth with or at-risk for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD)

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological services for youth with ASD/IDD
  • Conduct assessments, consultation, and (where applicable) intervention services
  • Collaborate in an interdisciplinary healthcare setting, ideally in an academic/medical environment
  • Participate in education and training for graduate students, university programs, and community initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (PhD/PsyD) in an applied area of psychology
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina
  • Broad clinical experience and expertise in assessment and consultation for youth with ASD/IDD

Preferred Qualifications

  • ≥2 years of experience, including post-doctoral fellowship in intellectual/developmental disabilities
  • Experience with intervention services
  • Experience with LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) or UCEDD (University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities) programs
  • Prior teaching and supervision of graduate students

Special Requirements

  • Not applicable for campus security authority responsibilities
  • Ability to perform duties in interdisciplinary clinical and academic environment
