Physician - Ophthalmology (Glaucoma Fellow)
Job Description
The Ophthalmologist provides licensed medical care in the specialty area of Glaucoma. Responsibilities include diagnosis, surgery, pre/post surgery care, staff education, collaboration on case management and clinical research. The Ophthalmologist manages complex and sometimes unpredictable situations. The Ophthalmologist must be competent in technical clinical and surgical skills, cognitive and interpersonal skills required to serve those patients receiving the above mentioned services. The Ophthalmologist is expected to practice within the established Medical Center and physician's standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols), and adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center.
Minimum Education Required
Doctorate (Professional) or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in medicine
Required Qualifications
Residency training or board certification in Opthalmology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. State of Ohio and DEA licensure required. Requires successful completion of a background check.
