"Police Officer Trainee"

This is a trainee-level position. Non-sworn incumbents perform the entry-level functions of the position under the direct supervision of a police officer of higher rank except those duties requiring Peace Officer status or requiring the use of firearms. Incumbents are required to be enrolled in an accredited police academy offering POST course requirements at the basic level. Applies campus policies and procedures to resolve routine police issues. Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The starting hourly rate for this position is $47.00.
