Overview
This position will be located in Washington D.C.
The Charles D. McCrary Institute for Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Security at Auburn University seeks an experienced McCrary Policy Analyst to support the Institute's expanding policy and partnership portfolio. This position is based in the Institute's Washington, D.C. office and reports to the Deputy Director for Policy and Partnerships.
The McCrary Policy Analyst plays a key role in advancing the Institute's mission by supporting and executing partnership agreements with government, industry, and nonprofit stakeholders. The position is responsible for monitoring, researching, and analyzing cybersecurity and critical infrastructure policy developments across federal agencies, Congress, and the private sector, and translating those developments into clear, well-written policy products.
In addition, the analyst assists with coordinating the Institute's task forces, including scheduling and supporting meetings, documenting discussions, and drafting white papers and other policy-focused materials for public release. This role requires strong research, writing, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse external partners in a fast-paced policy environment.

Responsibilities
- Track and monitor cybersecurity policy developments across government, including Congress and key Executive Branch agencies.
- Support the Institute's policy task forces by coordinating meetings, tracking participation, and developing deliverables.
- Help draft reports, briefings, and other written products related to national cyber policies.
- Support the planning and execution of policy-centric events for government and industry cyber leaders.
- Assist with managing the Institute's corporate membership program, including tracking deliverables, onboarding new members, and identifying potential partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Government, Political Science, Public Policy, National Security, or Cybersecurity
- 3 years of experience in researching, analyzing, and writing about areas of public policy, particularly in the areas of cybersecurity, national security, homeland security, and critical infrastructure.
