Job Overview
The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Minnesota Medical School invites applications for a talented and motivated Post-Doctoral Associate to join our cutting-edge pharmacogenomics (PGx) research team. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of genomics, clinical data, and patient care, directly contributing to the advancement of personalized medicine.
Our lab's mission is to integrate pharmacogenomic insights into the clinical management of patients, particularly those with inherited cancer and others undergoing whole-genome sequencing (WGS). You will play a pivotal role in analyzing PGx data from our Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory to identify and characterize clinically actionable drug-gene pairs, ultimately helping to optimize treatment and improve patient outcomes.
Working with guidance from the Principal Investigator, you will operate with a high degree of independence, leading daily research activities and collaborating with a world-class network of partners, including the Minnesota Supercomputer Institute (MSI), the Institute for Health Informatics, and the College of Pharmacy. If you are passionate about translational research and have a strong background in bioinformatics and large-scale data analysis, we encourage you to apply.
