Summary:
Cell biology and mouse metabolism research pertaining to nutrient sensing pathway and autophagy
100% research (experimentation, writing papers/fellowships, participation in scholarly activities, seminars, conferences etc)
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, or similar area. Publications and experiences in cell biology, molecular biology, and/or mouse experiments.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates who have experience in mouse experiments pertaining to metabolic analysis, neurological or immunological studies. Experience in cellular imaging, post-translational modifications and protein-protein interactions will also preferentially be considered.
About the Department
BMBB:
The department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics is committed to understanding the molecular mechanisms of metabolic diseases and cancer; developing novel strategies in biocatalysis and biotechnology; and advancing knowledge through structural biology and molecular biophysics. We organize ourselves into research divisions with emphases on Chemical and Structural Biology, Metabolic and Systems Biology, Molecular Biology and Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology. We are housed in new buildings with state-of-the-art research and support facilities.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $56,484 - $61,008; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
