POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Post Doctoral Associate to work with Professor Katepalli R. Srennivasan.

The research group where the position resides is internationally known for its work in fluid dynamics, one of its recent activities being quantum computation of fluid dynamics (QCFD).
Expectations
Candidates will be responsible for the QCFD work. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in fluid dynamics and quantum physics as exemplified by a strong publication record. Previous experience on applied and computational mathematics is desired.
Candidates should have a PhD in Engineering or a related field. We welcome applicants with recent PhDs and individuals seeking additional postdoctoral training. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
Salary range
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the initial annual base salary for this position is $64,063.

We are seeking Ph.D. candidates with ample experience in designing molecular diagnostic devices, handling immunoassay reagents and blood samples, fabricating microfluidic bio-chips using soft lithography and 3D printing, and analyzing biomarker data. The project is expected to impact broad applications in future precision medicine of critical care and cancer.
