Post-doctoral fellow in Tumor Immunology
Dr. Bo Lu’s laboratory is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to work in a collaborative environment leading research on understanding the biology of immunotherapy combined with radiotherapy for cancer treatments. This position will utilize several functional approaches to dissect properties of the immune system in animals after immunotherapy and radiotherapy. The interested candidate will have the opportunities not only to study the immune response in animal models but also to translate the discovery for diagnosis and biomarker identification by studying human cancer patient clinical trial samples. The candidates will be responsible for performing cell culture, flow cytometry, western blots, real-time PCR, RNA-seq, immune fluorescence, Elisa and related molecular biological and cellular immunological techniques in vitro and in vivo mouse tumor model, maintaining accurate and organized records of experiments and results, presenting discoveries at national and international meetings, preparing manuscripts, and helping train new graduate students/lab members.
Qualifications: The candidate must have a recent PhD in immunology, cell biology or a related field. Proficiency in multicolor flow cytometry, molecular and cellular biology is required. Previous experience with murine tumor model and mouse handling is preferred.
