A Post-doctoral Fellow position is available at HKUST in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering.

The applicant is expected to have prior experience in the design, synthesis and characterization of conjugated organic polymers for organic electronic applications (or relevant areas), and be able to conduct independent frontier research related to the research group’s endeavour to develop flexible, stretchable or biodegradable organic electronic devices.  Experience in device fabrication and/or quantum-mechanical computation (e.g. DFT or MD) is an additional asset. 

Applicants should have a PhD degree with proven experience in relevant areas with publication record and strong research motivation.  The successful candidate will work in state-of-the-art facilities with a multi-disciplinary international team at HKUST and should have a strong grasp of English.  The appointee will conduct research in the above areas; collaborate with other researchers and mentor graduate students. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
