Postdoc on Quantum Computational Fluid Dynamics
Job Summary: Join TU Delft's Quantum CFD team to develop quantum algorithms for computational fluid dynamics (CFD), focusing on overcoming limitations of traditional CFD tools using quantum computers. The role involves redesigning CFD methodologies for quantum systems and collaborating with an international team and industry partner Fujitsu Limited.
Responsibilities: Develop quantum algorithms for the lattice Boltzmann method and lattice gas automata; implement quantum circuits in Qiskit; evaluate them on quantum computing simulators and hardware devices; perform performance analyses and resource estimations; contribute to advancing the state of the art in quantum CFD for real-world applications.
Qualifications and Requirements: Hold a PhD degree in applied mathematics or another computational science discipline; have a proven track record in quantum algorithm development, demonstrated through scientific publications or presentations; experience with implementing quantum algorithms in Qiskit or other quantum programming frameworks is appreciated; be fluent in English, both in speaking and writing; able to communicate in academic and industrial environments.
