Postdoctoral Fellow
Position Summary
A full-time postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Wenjun Fan in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Our research team investigates the molecular mechanisms governing cancer progression and uncovers fundamental survival pathways in cancer. We employ an integrative strategy combining functional genomics, multi-omics, and chemical biology to dissect how cancer cells adapt to targeted therapies and to develop new therapeutic strategies. Our lab has pioneered several developments in translational biology, including discovering the interface of rRNA synthesis and splicing, ribosomal heterogeneity, translational fitness, and drug resistance to Targeted Pol I therapy. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate with strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of thriving both independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
