Postdoctoral Fellow- PhD Child
Job Summary
This is a postdoctoral fellow in the psychology child and adolescent division. This position serves as a clinical provider, researcher, and teaching/supervisor assistant position within the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior overall, including a significant role within the Psychology Division, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry division, and the psychology internship program.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Articles
- Perform systematic research, collaborating on departmental research projects, as well as your own research.
- Review articles prepared by others.
Supervision
- Supervise psychology interns, as well as, teach didactics and seminars weekly to medical students, interns, and residents on a series of various mental health topics.
Clinical Psychotherapy Services
- Provide clinical psychotherapy services to the community, specifically children and adolescents in various clinics within MCG/AU.
Other Duties
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to complete work and to meet deadlines
- Willingness and ability to work with research animals
- Ability to work independently with only general supervision
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases or willingness to learn
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position)
Recruitment Period: 1/27/26 - Until Filled
