Offer Description
Postdoctoral Fellow at the Division for Marine and Environmental Research, Laboratory for Environmental Geochemistry and Nanoparticle Dynamics, to work on the Croatian Science Foundation project “Dynamics of (Nano)Particles in Urban Environments: An Integrative Approach” (City Dust), in natural sciences, field of interdisciplinary natural sciences, for a fixed term of four years, 1 position.

Skills/Qualifications
In addition to the general criteria for employment set out in Article 39, Paragraph 7 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- a university Master’s degree or an integrated undergraduate and graduate university degree in the field of Natural Sciences, in the field of Geology or Interdisciplinary Natural Sciences;
- an academic degree of Doctor of Science (PhD) in the field of Natural Sciences, in the field of Geology or Interdisciplinary Natural Sciences;
- excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
Specific Requirements
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in scientific writing, fieldwork, laboratory research and the application of analytical techniques in mass spectrometry, as well as to candidates holding a valid Category B driving licence.
In addition to the application document, applicant needs to provide: Curriculum Vitae (CV), Diploma, e-mail address of at least one referee, and other evidence needed for satisfying position related selection criteria.

Selected candidates who have achieved their higher qualifications outside Croatia will be required, before the signing of the employment contract, to obtain the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education.
The candidate cannot be employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Republic of Croatia for a total of more than four years. With a candidate for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow who has already been employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow, an employment relationship can be established for a maximum of 4 years, and the candidate is required to submit a certificate of employment from the previous employer or previous employment contracts for the position of senior assistant.
The employment, according to the Rules of the Recovery and resilience plan for Croatia - for work on a project as Postdoctoral Fellow, can be contracted only with candidates whose period between the completion of doctoral studies and this employment is no longer than 7 years.
The employment includes a six-month trial period.
