Postdoctoral Research Associate I, Neuroscience
Position Highlights
A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Lindsay Halladay in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Arizona. We are seeking a highly self-motivated individual with a proven record of productivity and demonstrated knowledge in complex in vivo and/or ex vivo methods, such as electrophysiology, miniscope calcium imaging, fiber photometry, etc.
The lab's research focus involves mouse behavioral models and a variety of high-tech tools used to interrogate neural circuits. Tools used include chemogenetics, optogenetics, fiber photometry, in vivo electrophysiology, and calcium imaging. Project topics include investigations into the effects of early stress, as well as aversion- and reward-based systems. A willingness to learn new techniques is essential for success in this position.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Will perform independent and collaborative research projects investigating neural circuitry related to mouse behavioral assays, using tools to manipulate and measure neural activity.
- Will analyze and interpret data as well as write manuscripts.
- Will assist in the supervision and training of undergraduate students or other lab members.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related field. The selected candidate must have a conferred Ph.D. upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years experience working with animal models in a similar field.
