Postdoctoral Research Associate
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Brown University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the laboratory of Dr. Daniel Spade, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Brown University.
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will focus on RNA biology in testicular germ cell toxicity, specifically the role(s) of small RNA in male reproductive toxicity in response to ethylene glycol monomethyl ether exposure, and the effects of disrupted paternal sperm sncRNA profiles on embryonic development. This project is supported by the “COBRE: Center for RNA Biology in Health and Disease,” an NIH P20 award, and startup funds from the Division of Biology and Medicine at Brown University. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will have access to the resources of the Brown RNA Center and Brown University Division of Biology and Medicine, including state-of-the-art core facilities to support RNA biology, genomics, imaging, and molecular pathology, as well as an excellent training environment in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and the Division of Biology and Medicine.
Applicants must have completed all requirements for a doctoral degree before starting of the position and should have interest or experience in reproductive biology and/or toxicology. Knowledge and laboratory skills in molecular and cellular biology and biochemistry are required. The position will be for a one-year renewable term, with the possibility of reappointment contingent upon available funding. Salary will be based on Brown’s minimum pay scale and is commensurate with experience.
