Postdoctoral Research Scientist in MRI Methods
We are looking to hire a postdoc with a background in MRI physics/engineering. The post-holder will work closely together and with other members of the WIN physics group to create an MR physics-based framework for predicting imaging phenotypes from quantitative imaging data. They will be expected to take an independent and proactive role in managing their own research; establishing and maintaining international collaborations; representing the group and communicating our research; and generating new research and grant opportunities.
It is essential that the post-holder has a doctoral degree (PhD or DPhil) in physics, engineering, or another relevant discipline. A less experienced candidate may be appointed at Grade 7 (£36,024 – £44,263 per annum), with a commensurate adjustment in either the essential criteria, responsibilities or duties. It is desirable that the post holders have experience in MRI protocol optimisation and experimental design.
This post is full time with the possibility of working part time. The post is fixed term until 31st December 2027. Only applications received before 12:00 midday on 22nd August 2025 will be considered. Interviews will be held as soon as possible thereafter.
