Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist position in the Group of Dr Phil Holliger. The Group are further exploring the structure, function and fidelity of RNA polymerase ribozymes (PNAS 121: e2313332121 / Elife 7: e35255 / Science 332: 209).

Candidates must have a PhD degree in a biological subject or be due to complete a PhD within 6 months. You should have experience in recombinant DNA technology, a strong background in molecular genetics techniques and an interest in technology development. Ideally, you will also have experience in in vitro evolution, next-generation sequencing techniques and / or structural biology methods (CryoEM / X-ray crystallography). Practical experience in bioinformatics and machine learning techniques will be considered a bonus.

This is a three-year training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills.
