We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join Lori Passmore’s group to study mRNA 3’ end processing. This work will build on recent advances in reconstituting the yeast and human machineries, and on recent cryoEM structures from the group.

This post suits an enthusiastic scientist with a desire to work on challenging and rewarding projects as part of a friendly and supportive team. This position will use cryoEM and other methods to investigate the structure and mechanisms of the mRNA 3’-end processing machinery. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant subject (or due to complete within 6 months), with expertise in structural biology and protein complexes.

This is a three-year training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills.
