Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist position in the Group of Dr Phil Holliger to undertake research aimed at RNA self-replication, specifically to develop strategies to discover, screen and study ribozymes with or without chemical modification capable of self-replication and their in vitro evolution.
Candidates must have a PhD degree in a biological subject or be due to complete a PhD within 6 months. You should have experience in in vitro evolution, Illumina sequencing and data analysis, RNA engineering and machine learning. Experience in engineering and evolution of polymerase ribozymes using trinucleotide triphosphate substrate will be considered a bonus.
This is a three-year training and development position suitable for you if you have recently completed your doctoral studies, or you are looking to move into a new research discipline and/or need to further develop your research skills.
