Participate in professional service.Minimum QualificationsAn earned Ph.D. degree (All-But-Dissertation, ABD, cases will be considered) in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in power engineering, or a closely related field, with a research emphasis on distribution grid modernization; such as but not limited to modeling and design, planning and operations, and microgrids. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong publication record in the area of distribution grid modernization. Potential to collaborate with other faculty in research.

Preferred QualificationsResearch experience in developing multidomain cosimulation frameworks utilizing real-time simulators, particularly Typhoon HIL, networked microgrids for active distribution system flexibility and resiliency. Proven interdisciplinary research experience on state/federally funded projects. Experience in proposal writing.

Compensation and Benefits

SalaryCommensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine month, non-tenure track position, renewal up to three (3) years depending on satisfactory performance, to begin on January 1, 2025.Benefits InformationTennessee Tech offers a competitive benefits package.
