The Faculty of Law at The Chinese University of Hong Kong invites applications for appointment as Professional Consultant.
The full-time appointee will contribute to selected teaching and related academic activities within the Faculty, and will also play a significant role in the development of the Faculty’s executive legal education initiatives, including a new Faculty-approved Executive Master of Laws in Global Practice Programme.
Applicants should have substantial senior-level experience in one or both of the following: senior law-related business executive roles; and/or senior corporate counsel, senior in-house legal roles, senior law firm leadership, or other comparable forms of senior legal experience.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to selected teaching and related academic activities within the Faculty, and to make a substantial contribution to the development of the Faculty’s executive legal education initiatives, including the new Executive Master of Laws in Global Practice. This may include curriculum and programme development, engagement with relevant professional and corporate constituencies, and contribution to the programme’s strategic development, external profile, and successful establishment. The appointee may also, as appropriate, be asked to assume a programme leadership role in relation to the programme or related initiatives.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate substantial professional achievement, mature judgment, and the ability to engage credibly with senior professionals, corporate stakeholders, and academic colleagues. Prior experience in teaching and/or programme development in higher education is desirable.
The appointee may contribute to areas such as law and business, governance, regulation, compliance, strategy, leadership, innovation, or other fields relevant to the needs of the Faculty and the appointee’s expertise.
Appointment will be made on a fixed-term basis, with terms of appointment and remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience.
