Responsibilities
- Providing classroom, online, or hybrid instruction in professional development and bootcamp formats.
- Fulfilling all contractual obligations during the term.
- Delivering training sessions aligned with pre-approved curricula and industry standards.
- Preparing thoroughly for each session and adhering to schedules.
- Leveraging modern teaching technologies, including learning management systems (LMS) and web-conferencing tools.
- Engaging learners actively, providing timely responses to questions and offering support or referrals when necessary.
- Collaborating with ASCENT staff to ensure seamless delivery and high-quality learner experiences.
- Assisting in the development and refinement of training content, as needed.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, and evaluations, as applicable.
- Completing annual compliance training and adhering to university policies.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the OPEL Program Manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant industry certifications, coupled with two or more years of field experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven expertise in the subject areas being taught (e.g., technology, business, healthcare, etc.).
- Certifications in relevant tools or technologies (e.g., cybersecurity, IT, programming languages, project management, etc.).
- Post-secondary teaching or training experience preferred.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development through education, certifications, or other activities.
- Proficiency with teaching technologies, including LMS platforms, lecture-capture tools, and synchronous online engagement software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage others.
