"Professional Law Teachers (Hourly Paid)"

Cardiff Professional Legal Studies (CPLS) is the department within the School of Law and Politics which offers the Graduate Diploma in Law, Solicitors Practice Course and Bar Training Course - postgraduate routes to professional qualification for solicitors and barristers. Cardiff University is the only Russell Group University to offer all of these courses. CPLS also provides nationwide assessment of Duty Solicitors, Police Station Representatives and expert witnesses. Its courses – which are delivered by professionally qualified staff - are well established, highly regarded within the profession and command excellent levels of satisfaction from students.

The School wishes to appoint suitably qualified hourly paid teachers to contribute to the teaching of all of its courses. Our hourly paid tutors work closely with full-time members of staff in the delivery and assessment of our programmes. The ability to teach vocational legal subjects and to deliver legal skills training is essential. These posts are ideally suited to legal practitioners who wish to undertake some teaching alongside their professional legal practice.

These are open ended, variable hours, hourly paid contracts, available immediately.

Salary: £40,497 - £45,413 per annum, pro-rata for hours worked (Grade 6)
