Professor of Practice in Finance
The Department of Finance in the Leo J. Meehan School of Business at Stonehill College invites applicants for a Professor of Practice (Assistant or Associate) position beginning Fall 2026. In addition to joining the Finance Department, the incoming faculty would be a part of a diverse and inclusive faculty with a wide range of disciplinary expertise. The ideal candidate would have a willingness to support the department and the College through service. This position carries a non-tenure track status. This is an on-campus position, and a qualified candidate must teach on the physical Stonehill College campus.
The Meehan School of Business at Stonehill College is AACSB-accredited and offers majors in Accounting, Business Analytics, Finance, Management, Information Technology Management, International Business, Talent & Human Resources Management, Sport Management, Marketing, Healthcare Management, and Economics. The school also offers minors in Data Analytics, Business, Entrepreneurship, Healthcare Management, and Economics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
We seek applicants with a strong interest and ability in teaching in the field of finance.
Courses may include:
- Corporate Finance
- Investments
- Applied Research and Portfolio Management
- Optional:
- Various Fintech courses
- Real Estate Finance
- Behavioral Finance
- Entrepreneurial Finance
The typical teaching load is four courses per semester (fall/spring) with the option to teach courses during summer and winter semesters. The selected candidate will deliver courses at the undergraduate level.
A commitment to service to the Department, School, and College is also essential. This includes advising undergraduate students and serving on departmental, school, and college committees. The applicant must show a strong interest in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students and enjoy working closely with student advisees to establish academic and professional goals.
Education and/or Experience
Applicants must hold a master’s degree and have current related professional experience. Professional work experience, with progressively increasing responsibility, is highly desirable.
