Program Analyst
Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of analytical practices, policies and procedures; researches, analyzes and develops solutions to a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies, programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Develops new programs, policies or procedures for possible implementation.
The Program Analyst will serve as a seasoned professional responsible for managing research projects examining how to strengthen HIV care access and outcomes for people living with HIV who have criminal legal involvement (PWH-CLI) following release from incarceration. The PM will provide strategic and sustainable support for multiple studies spanning epidemiology, health services research, and implementation science. This role requires demonstrated experience in program development, research administration, and project management, as well as the ability to independently prioritize and manage emerging priorities in a dynamic environment.
The Program Analyst will plan, implement, and coordinate a broad range of research activities, ensuring projects are conducted in compliance with institutional, funder, and regulatory requirements. The PM will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI), Research Analyst(s), and external partners (e.g., San Francisco Department of Public Health [SFDPH]) to ensure smooth project operations, deliverables, and dissemination of results.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $154,600 (Annual Rate).
