Job Description:
Oversees a variety of auxiliary aids and services provided to disabled students, including but not limited to, alternative testing. This position coordinates accommodated testing for students registered with SAS and markets SAS services through social media and other outreach
- Administers academic testing accommodations for disabled students including scheduling, proctoring and coordinating with faculty and campus departments. Provides guidance, communicates commitment and models expectations for students, faculty and staff who interact with accommodated testing processes.
- Coordinates all activities of the Accommodated Testing Center in collaboration with the Student Accessibility Specialist, including supervising student workers and overseeing all protocol related to accommodated testing.
- Maintain and updates Student Accessibility Services social media accounts, providing information about current SAS events, deadlines, and disabilities in higher education
- Efficiently plans, organizes and priorities work to meet deadlines. Communicates verbally and in writing regarding operation and supply needs. Resolves problems in the Center as they arise.
- Maintains confidential/sensitive records and information. Conducts precise and accurate record keeping that maintains exam integrity.
- Performs general office duties such as filing, overseeing inventory and participating in department meetings. Compiles data and prepares documents for consideration and presentation to staff.
- Provides support for Student Accessibility Services and relevant office procedures and events.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.
- Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
- Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION
Required: High school diploma or GED.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
EXPERIENCE
Required: Two years of experience coordinating, compiling data or related activities. Experience maintaining confidentiality.
Preferred: Two years of administrative/clerical experience maintaining confidentiality. Experience working with sensitive information. Experience working with confidential disability-related student information and accommodation processes. Experience managing testing within a higher education setting. Experience managing and/or facilitating accessible text, document, and audio-visual content processes within an educational setting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required: Ability to maintain confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of and ability to use computers, copier equipment and other standard office machines. Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate procedures and policies clearly, both verbally and in writing. Ability to balance the demands of simultaneous projects, conflicts and time pressures, to meet organizational needs.
