Job Summary
The Program Assistant for CSI (Center for Student Involvement) will be responsible to develop and implement programs and service for the MSWU student body, including staffing the Campus Cupboard, assisting with publicity and marketing, assisting with retention outreach, and engaging with the student body and visitors.
Essential Duties
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, greet customers/students, ensure the office is functioning properly, and provide office resources.
- Assist other students who visit the Campus Cupboard along with organizing and maintaining the food distribution processes on outgoing items on an excel spreadsheet and by keeping a tracking system of food items needed and checking for expiration dates.
- Students will be responsible for checking the daily email on the Student Affairs email, lost and found and CC google email and will respond as appropriate.
- They are also responsible for maintaining the Lost and Found items that are turned in and also help find lost items reported to the office.
Required Qualifications
- MWSU Student
- Degree Seeking
- At least an overall 2.0 GPA
- Enrolled at least part-time (6 hours)
- Must qualify for Federal Work Study
Preferred Qualifications
If interested, and a student continues to meets student employment guidelines and is available for work in the summer, the job may be renewed for June.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- An enrolled college student who shows interest and a positive attitude in learning in an intercultural work environment.
- Must have a willingness to interact with people, and ability to keep confidentiality.
- Must be able to handle professional situations, be attentive to other students and be punctual.
- Strong communicator, empathy, good proofreading, and time management skills.
Physical Demands
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

Anticipate 20 hours per week. Schedule to be arrangement with student upon hire.
