Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking a Program Coordinator II. Reporting to the Accounting Specialist, the Program Coordinator II will organize, administer, and assist multiple facets of open enrollment and corporate customized executive education programs including the planning, preparation, evaluation, marketing, records, statistics, reports, and materials.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
- Interprets agreements and ensures accuracy of deliverables.
- Administers processes, evaluates program effectiveness, and identifies and deploys additional program resources.
- Assists with the undertaking of on-site evaluations of programs and services, assesses service levels and program progress, and prepares appropriate recommendations.
- Serves as liaison with various public and private institutions and agencies to determine special program requirements, modifications, or innovations.
- Work is consistent with an understanding of the mission, vision, role, and goals of the administrative department.
- The Program Coordinator II will carry out routine and semi-routine work within work parameters for the Center and under general supervision.
- The Program Coordinator II is responsible to have knowledge of the program administration practices.
- Responsible for processing and preparing department accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis, writing, and promotion/outreach.
- Also requires a minimum of two years relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function, good communication skills, and computer literacy.

- Must be adaptable to using different software packages.
- A quick study that is adaptable to change. Must be able to manage multiple priorities, specifically ANCOR, RIAS, Canvas, Excel, PowerPoint.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Travel among regional campuses is required along with occasional early hours, late hours and weekend hours.
- Occasional regional (quarterly) and possibly International (once every few years) travel. Ability to lift boxes of 50 lbs.
