Salary Range:

Program Coordinator: Up to $46,000-$48,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Senior Program Coordinator: Up to $53,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Type: Full Time

Job Summary

Both Levels

The Program Coordinator and Senior Program Coordinator for the School of Architecture + Planning at UT San Antonio administers activities of assigned programs by developing and implementing procedures, processes, services and systems. This role serves as liaison with other departments, the students, faculty and the Director's office to ensure cooperation and efficiencies of stated objectives. Qualified candidates should enjoy working in a creative environment and student-facing activities.

Core Responsibilities

Program Coordinator

  1. Manages the assigned phases of programs, being proactive with course scheduling decisions, program selection, staff supervision, future planning, and innovation.
  2. Proposes, evaluates and coordinates the implementation of programs.
  3. Researches new program ideas and proposes program design, and submission.
  4. Plans, schedules, and coordinates activities in assigned programs and projects.
  5. Ensures program needs are met through resource planning, tracking, and management. Resources include talent, supplies, and facilities.
  6. Coordinates marketing and communication activities for the program.
  7. Evaluates program activities and makes recommendations for changes and enhancements to ensure the program evolves as necessary to continue to serve the mission.
  8. Maintains tracking and reporting systems to monitor program/ participant progress and results, including graduate audits.
  9. Provides data and progress/status reporting as necessary for program sponsors and other university personnel.
  10. Creates reports to reflect student progress and program levels and assists in the creation and maintenance of internal controls to protect student confidentiality and program reporting.
  11. Interacts with university departments, student groups and faculty to coordinate resources and communicate/market programs.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Senior Program Coordinator

  1. Administers, coordinates, and participates in activities involved in assigned programs or projects, scheduling, marketing, training, and evaluating programs.
  2. Develops and implements standards for the attainment of program goals and objectives.
  3. Maintains frequent interaction with departments, student groups and faculty in administering programs.
  4. Facilitates the development of new partnerships for various programs.
  5. Evaluates and reports on program results, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  6. Recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities.
  7. Coordinates staff training and development.
  8. Determine work priorities to ensure that the most important and urgent tasks are completed first, leading to increased productivity and efficiency.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Program Coordinator

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of related work experience.
  • This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Senior Program Coordinator

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
  • One (1) year of related work experience.
  • This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

Senior Program Coordinator

  • Three (3) years of related work experience. Preferably at a professional office or university department of a discipline in the Arts or Creative Field.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events.

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Sedentary: Up to 10lbs - Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.

This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
