Program Manager - Code in Place

The School of Engineering at Stanford University is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the Code in Place program. This is a 1-year fixed-term, full-time position exempt from the hiring freeze.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct interviews and hire students as teaching assistants and remote section leaders.
• Work closely with Stanford's Engineering Center for Global and Online Education (CGOE) to coordinate program elements.
• Serve as a point of contact for partnerships and growth opportunities.
• Manage teams and provide information on program registration, course lessons, assignments, and career examples.
• Handle student grievances and special needs, such as postponing progress.
• Prepare training materials, guidelines, and onboarding for section leaders.
• Prepare detailed timelines, deliverables, and goals.
• Compile evaluations and reports, making recommendations to enhance programs.
• Develop and analyze policies based on feedback.
• Identify and fix inconsistencies in the program.
• Oversee preparation of certificates.

Education & Experience:

Required: Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Basic analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Relevant computer systems experience.
• Understanding of financial transactions.
• Ability to learn compliance with policies and regulations.

• Demonstrated ability to interact with and mentor students.
• Prior experience in a lab setting.
• Background in a related discipline.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a technical environment.

Working Conditions:

May require extended hours and work with graduate and PhD students.

Physical Requirements:

Frequently sit and perform desk-based tasks; occasionally stand, walk, and lift objects up to 10 pounds.

Work Standards:

Demonstrate interpersonal skills, promote safety, and comply with University policies.

Pay Range:
