Program Manager for Community Engagement, Hybrid, College of Arts and Sciences

Job Overview

The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a highly organized and dynamic Program Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events that advance the mission and visibility of the College of Arts & Sciences. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of event logistics, from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality experiences for participants and stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of a wide range of events, which may include, lectures, seminars, conferences, workshops, and community engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to identify event objectives and design programs that align with institutional goals.
  • Manage event logistics, including vendor/venue selection, catering, audiovisual needs, accommodations, and timeline development.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Oversee event promotion and marketing efforts, including the creation of promotional materials, social media outreach, and collaboration with A&S Marketing & Communications.
  • Supervise on-site event operations, ensuring smooth execution and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
  • Evaluate event outcomes and gather feedback to inform continuous improvement of future programming.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, service providers, and community partners to support successful events.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies, risk management, and safety regulations for all events.
  • Strategic development of an ongoing calendar of events to improve community & attendee engagement.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience

Salary/Hourly Pay Rate Information: 54000
