Programs Pre-College Specialist

Job Description

• Collaborates with the program director in coordinating and implementing program operations, including college visits, field trips, summer programs, career workshops, and family events.
• Maintains records and databases of student and family engagement and participation. Monitors and maintains data collection for required program reports.
• Maintains relationships with target schools and provides services to participants on college access processes.
• Collaborates with campus departments and community organizations to provide educational curriculum for program participants.
• Develops retention strategies, evaluates programming, and researches best practices for program improvement.
• Ensures compliance with department, University, and state and federal policies and procedures.
• May maintain materials for testing, evaluation, and grading of students participating in programs. May counsel and instruct students on planning, organization, and other executive function skills.
• Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff and student employees.

Short Job Description

• Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
• Two years' relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
