Job/Dept Summary

Boston Children's Hospital's Office of Community Health (OCH) seeks a Project Coordinator to support The Office's day-to-day operations. The Project Coordinator will support a broad portfolio of projects focused on children and families' health and social needs in the greater Boston area. This individual will contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of OCH signature programs as well as community health initiatives that provide funding to external partners. Working with the Evaluation Manager, the Project Coordinator will organize meetings, collect and manage data, and communicate with community partners as well as internal hospital staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation and evaluation of OCH's signature programs and Determination of Need (DoN) Community Health Initiatives across Greater Boston
  • Maintain work plans, timelines, systems, and frameworks to meet program implementation and evaluation goals
  • Support the collection of project-related data for deliverables and meetings; collaborate with team members to assist with monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on project progress
  • Prepare written and visual materials for meetings to communicate project progress, outcomes, and lessons learned
  • Conduct literature reviews on best practices and apply findings to program planning and continuous improvement
  • Support the planning and facilitation of cross-functional meetings and medium- to large-scale virtual and in-person community meetings, learning communities, and other engagement activities
  • Engage in relationship-building efforts across diverse communities within and beyond Boston
  • Assist in the development of measurement plans to monitor and assess project success
  • Ability to travel outside of the Boston area to surrounding communities of Waltham, Weymouth, Needham, Framingham, Quincy, Brockton, and Randolph as required
  • This position requires periodic evening hours throughout the year for participation in community meetings, gatherings, and events

Education:

Bachelor's degree required and 1 year experience in an administrative support role and/or projects related role within a hospital or academic medical environment. Master's degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Background in community organizing and/or community relations preferred
  • Ability to write and speak a second language, preferably Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian Creole is preferred
  • Analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analytic tasks, and succinctly summarize data and information
  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with community partners and others to improve child health outcomes
  • Proficient in common computer applications/environments: Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, and Dropbox

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
