Project Manager, Financial Aid
Reporting to the Executive Director of Student Financial Aid (SFA) and project leadership, the Project Manager will be focused on the expansion of scholarships and the scholarship management tool. The project manager will assist with the continued implementation and expansion of the new scholarship management tool and serve as liaison for colleges and departments onboarding to the new tool over the next 24 months to significantly expand the utilization of the tool. The Project Manager will also work closely with SFA leadership and the SFA scholarship team to focus on scholarship expansion and awarding processes in support of the debt-free initiative. The Project Manager will be focused on optimizing scholarships as well as practices, policies, processes, and timelines as part of the Debt-Free bachelor’s degree program at The Ohio State University (OSU). The Project Manager will collaborate with external partners and Student Financial Aid staff to research and document the scholarship processes. The Project Manager will assist with evaluation and recommendations for changes to existing processes to advance the goals provided by the Debt-Free program. The Project Manager will develop and maintain project work plans and timelines; maintain an organized, electronic project folder; develop documents and presentations. The Project Manager will be responsible for collecting data, studying the outcomes, and providing recommendations for Student Financial Aid and project leadership.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience in project management, 4 years of relevant experience required in student financial aid or related field. Experience working in a Student Financial Aid office, knowledge of financial aid processes, procedures, and regulations.
Desired:
4 - 8 years relevant experience. Experience working on a team and communicating and collaborating with team members and a wide variety of clients on projects. Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and timelines and complete tasks within established project due dates. Experience working within a complex higher education environment; familiarity with Ohio State policies and practices; Excellent oral and written and interpersonal communication skills.
