Project Manager - GI Oncology

The Project Manager will support the Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology Translational Research Program in the areas of patient consenting, regulatory work, data collection, and project management. The GI Oncology Translational Research Program supports various aspects of research for GI Cancers. This program is a bridge between clinical care and wet lab research and supports "bench to bedside" research. Projects that the program supports include the SURGE Study (https://www.dana-farber.org/clinical-trials/21-709), REACH Study (https://myreachstudy.org/) and many more innovative research projects. Duties include the facilitating consent to various translational research protocols, oversight of the research studies, and clinical data abstraction/monitoring of patient statuses.

  • Scope and Complexity: Manage small projects with clearly defined objectives and limited scope, focusing on task execution and meeting project-specific goals.
  • Decision Making: Make informed decisions regarding resource allocation and project timelines, with some autonomy in resolving operational challenges.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Communicates with project team members and stakeholders relevant to the specific project.
  • Project Management: Plan and manage project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Quality Assurance: Track project progress, ensuring that outputs are accurate and meet established performance metrics.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Three (3) years of experience in project coordination /administration OR at least one (1) year of project management experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Solid understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools and templates.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
