About the Opportunity:

The Project Manager works with the Annenberg - Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Literacy Launch Partnership team. The Project Manager supports the overall direction and execution of the team's evaluation and research projects. In addition to the Annenberg team, this position establishes and stewards relationships with external research partners as well as district and state-level education agency stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include helping to design implementation plans, collecting data, coordinating the research team's work, communicating with stakeholders, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, managing timelines, organizing meetings, and moving the project forward.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Master's Degree in Education, public policy or other social science field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience managing large-scale projects with multiple workstreams
  • Experience with software to analyze quantitative and qualitative data
  • Experience with any combination of: State level education policy and practice, Early literacy, Public education in Massachusetts, Early childhood education

Competencies:

  • Notices and fixes errors, acknowledges mistakes and turns them into learning opportunities
  • Demonstrates an appetite and aptitude for digging into systems and data by learning and working through complex processes and systems in order to improve efficiency.
  • Demonstrates ability to quickly become "fluent" in multiple contexts, analyzes situations to see beyond the surface of challenges, and effectively customizes general practices to fit stakeholders' individualized needs
  • Training and experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent judgment and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated experience with Google suite apps, i.e. Gmail, Google drive, Google sheets, etc. or comparable Microsoft products

Additional Information:

This is a fixed term position with the possibility of renewal annually. This position is contingent on funding.
