Project Officer

The role

  • Full Time, Fixed Term (12 months)
  • Level 6 - $92,025 - $99,538 (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Bathurst, NSW

Charles Sturt is looking for a Project Officer to join People Operations within the Division of People and Culture. In this role, you will support the analysis, documentation and implementation of HR process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and help our teams work better.

Working under the guidance of the Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the Division of People and Culture to support continuous improvement initiatives, contribute to project delivery and develop practical resources that support sustainable change.

The opportunity

As Project Officer, you will:

  • contribute to project work that supports continuous improvement initiatives across People Operations
  • create user guides, training resources and supporting materials for new or updated processes and systems
  • assist with change management and communication activities to support successful implementation and adoption
  • liaise and collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and validate processes and support project outcomes
  • assist with business process analysis to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • review and update documentation and resources to ensure they remain current and aligned with policy and procedure
  • promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.

About you

To be successful, you will bring:

  • a degree and subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • experience supporting process analysis and redesign in a large, complex organisation
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • demonstrated computer literacy and a willingness to use new technologies
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret policy and support process mapping and contribute to system or procedural improvement
  • experience supporting project delivery activities through documentation, training resources, communications and workshops to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
