  • Employment Type: Full - time (35 hours a week)
  • Duration: Fixed Term contract until 30 Nov 2026
  • Remuneration: $103,866 base, plus 17% superannuation and leave loading
  • Work rights required: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia to be considered for this position.

Details of the role

A Project Officer plays a key role within the Implementation to Impact (i2i) program in the School of Population Health, in providing practical and efficient project support for project teams and key stakeholders. The role will primarily support the “Precision Care Initiative: Integrating precision oncology into clinical programs” and may be involved in other projects from time to time.

The role entails providing project coordination and support for the project clinic operating at Prince of Wales Hospital, working with the project team to build key internal and external relationships, and providing administrative support for key programs and projects. Additionally, this role will involve direct interaction with patients referred to the clinic and clinicians who refer patients to the clinic.

The role reports to the Senior Project Officer, supporting the project team and the Director of i2i.

Some key skills required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Support the delivery of the Precision Care Initiative project and initiatives to achieve operational and strategic goals, primarily at the Prince of Wales site.
  • Monitor, track and report on the status of project deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality metrics are in line with approved project plans for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate project administration including coordination of workshops and meetings, minute taking, manage assigned actions and follow-ups and project status reporting.
  • Provide coordination in the co-development, investigation and evaluation of best practice strategies for the implementation of the precision care clinic within Prince of Wales Hospital.
  • Be accountable for the effective coordination of and actively participate in the delivery and completion of research aspects of the Precision Care Initiative project, where required. For example, conduct research interviews or support qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
  • Experience interacting with multiple stakeholders including patients and clinicians in a clinical research setting.
  • Demonstrated and applied knowledge/understanding of HREC and regulatory applications e.g. GCP and reporting for clinical trials.
