Salary Range: Up to $20 an hour, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.
Job Type: Part Time up to 19 hours per week, Temporary

Job Summary
The Project Specialist coordinates and administers activities of assigned programs by developing and implementing procedures, processes, services and systems. This role serves as liaison with other programs and external parties to ensure cooperation, efficiencies and accomplishment of stated objectives. This position supports timely and comprehensive compliance with ADA accessibility standards by reviewing and updating organizational materials—including documents, training videos, and digital content—to ensure they meet required accessibility guidelines.
This is a temporary position with an expected duration of up to 3 months. This position may be extended or shortened based on availability of funds and/or departmental need.
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing administrative assistance to support various departmental events, activities, and projects.
- Assists with departmental communications and publications to include; proofing and editing documents, letters, articles; and management of social media presence on multiple platforms.
- Provides administrative assistance to support various departmental events, activities, and programs.
- Performs general administrative oversight, photography support and maintenance to social media sites such as posting pictures, events, activities, generating interest and supporting external event clientele.
- Assists with the production of newsletters, including drafting articles and editing submissions from other offices.
- Assists with the planning, coordination, and implementation of department events on and off campus.
- Assists with the coordination and implementation of projects. Researches new project ideas.
- Creates and processes electronic documents such as purchase orders, reimbursements, and travel.
- Schedules and coordinates activities in assigned programs and projects.
- Interacts with university departments, special groups, and external agencies to coordinate resources and communicate/market programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Vocational Training or Apprenticeship in a related field.
- Three (3) years of related work experience.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Working Conditions
Office Environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. Workdays, areas, and work hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
Physical Demands
Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
