"Psychology, Assistant/ Associate Professor - 2 positions"

Alabama State University, Academic Affairs, Department of Psychology, invites applications to fill the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Psychology. This is a tenure track position specializing in organizational psychology. This position will contribute to our innovative Social Psychology and Human Rights program, which emphasizes the intersection of psychology, social justice, and human rights issues within organizational settings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics and organizational psychology,
• Conduct and publish high quality research
• Secure external research funding
• Mentor and advise students, particularly those from underrepresented groups
• Engage in community outreach
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities
• Work collaboratively with faculty across the university, and contribute to the interdisciplinary nature of the Social Psychology and Human Rights program
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

An earned Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field, demonstrated excellence in university level teaching, a strong record of research and publication with an emphasis on social justice and human rights, a commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment for all students required.

It is to be noted that for the purpose of continuous improvement of faculty qualifications as faculty members complete advanced degrees, certifications, licenses, etc., the faculty member will send official documentation, within 45 days of hire, to the Office of Human Resources, and the credentialing file in Academic Affairs.
