Position Announcement
Provides clerical, accounting, and project support to the Business Services department. Assists accounting, revenue, payroll and purchasing offices with various secretarial and clerical duties, accounting processes, report generation, data analysis, reconciliation and reporting. Maintains a current knowledge of appropriate University policies, processes and procedures in an effort to assure efficiency and integrity of Business Services.
Responsibilities
- Assist accounting, revenue, payroll and purchasing offices with various secretarial and clerical duties, accounting processes, report generation, data analysis, reconciliation and reporting.
- Assist with various financial reconciliations and spreadsheet designs.
- Assist with data integrity, records storage, filing system structure and long-term storage.
- Maintain a current knowledge of appropriate University policies, processes and procedures in an effort to assure efficiency and integrity of Business Services.
- Take on special projects and assignments in support of financial services activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED. Some post-secondary education and two years of related experience.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of University operating systems such as Banner, preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
- Ability to work in a team environment and be approachable, friendly, and welcoming.
- Ability to concentrate on several detailed projects in a face-paced office environment, remaining proactive and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Supplemental Information
POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Part-time hourly staff (15-25 hours/week) position. Hourly rate of $14/hr.
