Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati (UC), Department of Athletics seeks applications for Quality Control Personnel (Sports Program Associate) to work with the Football program. As many as five vacancies may be filled.
The successful candidate will be expected to assist the program by coordinating and assisting in daily preparation and operations in the Offensive, Defensive or Special Teams room while following all departmental, university, conference, and NCAA policies and regulations.
The position requires evening and weekend work hours and travel with the team.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for all aspects of any of the following functions within a sport program:
- Quality Control (provides support to the Offensive, Defensive, and/or Special Teams coaches through film breakdown, evaluation of student-athletes and play development)
- Identify program needs and implement program improvements.
- Collaborate with staff to perform administrative tasks in line with program and departmental goals. Serve as ambassador of the program and look for opportunities to connect the program to the community and business partners.
- May be required to drive a university vehicle and/or student-athletes.
- May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Trainings/Certifications
- Must be able to pass and maintain NCAA recruiting certification if required by sport program.
- Valid driver’s license.
Required Experience
Previous experience as a coach or collegiate player or work in an athletic department setting.
