R. Raymond J. Treece Endowed Chair, Department of Accounting - Bellarmine University
Bellarmine University W. Fielding Rubel School of Business invites applications for the position of Fr. Raymond J. Treece Endowed Chair, Department of Accounting. The Endowed Chair serves as a representative for the accounting program to both internal and external stakeholders. Internally, the Chair engages in teaching, in research/scholarly activity, and with students via the accounting association and internship programs. They will also work with the dean and other School leaders on various strategic initiatives involving the School and the accounting program. Externally, the Chair will nurture and develop relationships with the accounting community and alumni as well as with potential students, striving to enhance the quality and reputation of the School and department.
This position is a 12-month tenured or tenure-track faculty position at the associate/full professor rank (based on experience) beginning July 1, 2026, with a reduced teaching load (2/3) to facilitate community building. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.

Job Requirements: Candidates must have a doctoral degree in accounting or a JD/LLM and be qualified as a Scholarly Academic or Practice Academic according to AACSB standards. A record of teaching and scholarship effectiveness commensurate with the rank of associate professor or full professor is also required. Candidates should also demonstrate an ability to interact well with faculty, administrators, students, and the community. A current CPA license is preferred for this position. Other desirable qualifications include: Demonstrated commitment to and leadership in promoting academic excellence; Effective record of teaching in various modalities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, with successful candidates expected to teach in the principles sequence annually; Success in effective student recruitment and retention; Track record of building and growing successful professional accounting programs and relationships with community partners for internships and placements.
